August 30: DEPART from DFW Airport
August 31: ARRIVE ISTANBUL
Our guide will meet you with a “GOMEGA – Sparrow Collective” sign at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Dinner and overnight (D)
September 1: ISTANBUL
After breakfast visit the Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, Hagia Irene, Basilica Cistern, Archaeological Museum. Spend the afternoon with partner missionaries. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
September 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast visit the Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, and the Grand Bazaar. Spend the afternoon with partner missionaries. Dinner and overnight. (B, D)
September 3: FLY ANTALYA
Early transfer to the airport for flight to Antalya. Arrive Antalya and visit Perge. Have lunch at St. Paul Cultural Center and then visit the New Mosaic Church and old town. Dinner and overnight in Antalya. (B, D) TK 2410 08:05/09:30
September 4: ANTALYA – PAMUKKALE
Early departure and drive to Denizli. Visit Laodicea and Hierapolis. Dinner and overnight in Pamukkale. (B, D)
September 5: MILETUS – EPHESUS – KUSADASI
After breakfast, drive to the famous ancient city of Ephesus. The Ephesus Archaeological Museum and the Basilica of St. John. Drive to Miletus, home of ancient philosopher Thales, one of the fathers of Greek geometry, astronomy, and philosophy. Dinner and overnight in Kusadasi. (B, D)
September 6: KUSADASI – SARDES – IZMIR
Drive to Alasehir to see the 1st century Philadelphia Church which is another one of the Seven Churches of the Revelation. Continue to Sardes, capital of ancient Lydia where the first coin of the world was invented. See the ruins of the 1st century. Dinner and overnight in Izmir. (B, D)
September 7: PERGAMUM – THYATIRA – IZMIR
Leave for Pergamon. Visit the Acropolis, the steepest theater of the ancient world and the Temple of Trajan. Then visit the Red Basilica, which was an Egyptian temple, later converted to a church in the 1st century. Then drive to Akhisar to see the ruins of the Thyatira Church. Return to Izmir for dinner and overnight. (B, D)
September 8: SMYRNA AGORA – FLY ISTANBUL
After breakfast visit the Ancient Smyrna Agora. Transfer to the airport for the flight to Istanbul. Dinner and overnight in Istanbul. (B, D) TK 2323 13:55 / 15:20
September 9: ISTANBUL
After breakfast visit the Egypt Market and then embark on a Bosphorus Boat Tour viewing the beauty of the European and Asian shorelines on either side. Visit the Galata Tower, Nevizade, Istiklal Street, Algerian Road, Flower Passage, Markiz Patisserie and lots of theaters, cafes, and bookstores. (B, D)
September 10: DEPARTURE
Transfer to the airport for your flight to the U.S.
